A Circuit. Where's the business angle for the regular guys???

Ok, I'm addicted. We have our third horse. One sold to the U.S., one died three weeks after purchase (now that's a story for next Time), and now we have a beautiful TB/Warm Blood 4 year old mare.

My daugther and I are training her, paying training fees, boarding, braiding, show fees and the list goes on. So here;s the big question. How do we make a business out of all this $$$ and somehow are able to deduct our expenses while we wait for her to be worth the big $$$ some day.

I'd love to at least deduct my expenses from this effort in the hopes that their will be some profits down the road. I registered a business proprietarship but not really sure what to do?

So, if anyone is a horse business owner, accountant or has their own horse business - please help with some advice on make all of this somehow more profitable for the average A circuit hopeful.

We love the shows, love to win but really have no business sense at all. Just horse sense.2007-03-0212:34:22
